WOHNEN MIT SEELE

Classic Viennese flair in a historic Bürgerhaus in Vienna-Josefstadt. Here you do not simply stay, you live. The 39 non-smoking rooms and the "Atelier" suite are individually furnished, modern, stylish and with the necessary portion of comfort to feel good. You can search for a bulk goods here in vain.

An unusual hotel concept in Austria’s capital, Vienna. The Hotel Rathaus Vienna Wine & Designrepresents the Fleischhaker family’s pleasure concept with its vinophile philosophy. At every step you will be confronted by the theme of wine in the modern design hotel: the wine cheese on the breakfast buffet, the wine guglhupf with your coffee, the wine cosmetics in your room – wine is simply everywhere.
Intensive dealing with a vintner is the invitation of each of these 39 tastefully furnished rooms. The individually designed double rooms are each dedicated to a top Austrian vintner, who provides noble wines for the “somewhat different” minibar.

The director Conrad Schröpel  and his team are happy to share the sensory experience of drinking wine with their guests. The wines of the Vintner of The Month are discussed unpretentiously in the wine lounge over glasses of wine, and knowledge of wines and vintners is exchanged in an uncomplicated manner. Tasting are also naturally organised on agreement – for individuals, interested guests and for small groups or conference participants. Austrian delicacies, prepared according to recipes by the house chef Klaus Fleischhaker, round off the hotel’s unique indulgence offer.

Engaged, personal service and a perfect host culture make the Hotel Rathaus Vienna - Wine & Designthe first choice for business travellers, congress participants, city tourists and small groups. The Hotel Rathaus Wine & Design team are also happy to organise one-day excursions to the wine regions from which the wines come.

WINE & VINTERS

Tired of the same old uninspired mini-bars? Our mini-bars in each room are dedicated to one top Austrian vintner. In addition we ourvintner of the month indicates the spezial wein-color in the Hotel Rathaus Vienna. In addition to the current repertoire at out wine-bar the wine of our vintner of the month are served also by glass.

Vienna is more interesting today than ever before for wine lovers. After all, Vienna counts among the few metropolises in which wine is not only drunk, but also grown. The Viennese vintners are at home only a few kilometres from the city centre, in the hilly and sunny locations of the Vienna Woods. The unique aspect is that there are more than 320 wine estates in the city area of Vienna and they produce about two million litres of first-class wine annually. While only the Viennese new wine was long well-known, unblended white wines, and more recently red wines, are now creating a furore. Grüner Veltliner, Rheinriesling, Chardonnay and Weißburgunder are cultivated here, among the red wines it is above all the Blaue Zweigelt that thrives in these locations. Word has got around among wine connoisseurs throughout Europe about the vintners’ return to quality and the specialised press is full of enthusiasm.

The city ensures that the “new wine” is drunk and spoken of everywhere, numerous events focus on Viennese wine, and the interest of wine lovers is unbroken. A comprehensive selection of Viennese wines is available to you at the Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design, all of which you can taste at the wine bar and naturally also take home. We will be happy to organise a excursion days to visit the Vienna vintners as well as a visit to the “Heurigen”, the taverns selling new wine.
