Creative apartment with like-at-home feeling
If you are an adventurous and curious traveller or just someone who prefers a home-like comfort, here is the lovely place to stay, next time you’re in Vienna. We found it just for you; it’s called “Wiener Zuhause” that might be translated as “Viennese home”. Of course there are other vacation apartments in town, but this one definitely stands out.
It’s not a chain of apartments, Wiener Zuhause is privately owned and offers a very personalized service, or would be better to say – helps you like a friend to explore Vienna from the inside. Your hostess Nina will welcome you here and make sure that you enjoy your stay. She might as well book some tickets for you for a concert or other event.
So let’s see what you should expect. It’s the 50m2 flat, which is far-far bigger than a regular hotel room, ideal for 2 and up to 4 people. The apartment is finished with modern furniture, TV, free Wi-Fi, dishwasher, microwave-oven, Nespresso coffee-machine, toaster and much more. If you’ve already been at some vacation apartments, you probably know, how annoying it could be if some of these small details are not there: be it a kettle or just a spoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Wiener Zuhause has it all, literally – everything that you might need and also something that you didn’t know that you need, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find it here.
First of all, there is a souvenir-box – artistic and authentic, filled by Nina with carefully chosen little things made by local artists and designers: unique postcards, porcelain cups from exquisite Viennese hand-made brand Feinedinge, Franz and Sisi - royal finger-puppets and so much more. What you won’t find here is a typical magnet with Stephansdom. This you might get in any souvenir shop in the city, but the best stuff you’ll find right here in your vacation home! Furthermore, there are pictures of young local artists, which, if you wish, you could take from the wall and pack it in your suitcase as you leave.
There are city-plans and the booklet made for you by Nina that includes her personal tips on wine-dine-shop in this district. It’s called Margareten and it won’t be an exaggeration to say that it’s the most booming and vibrant district in Vienna, very hip, packed with small designer boutiques and cafes, but also with traditional Viennese pubs (beisl) and guest-houses. The famous market “Naschmarkt” and the old city are just 10 minutes away by feet. And at the end of the day you might want to enjoy a quiet evening at the balcony with a glass of Austrian wine, which you’ll find right here in the apartment – the best one from one the famous Austrian wine regions – Burgenland.
